HP TouchSmart IQ816

$2,100.00 Released September, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Has a gaming grade mobile video card that can play recent games on lower resolutions. Awesomely large touchscreen. A fresh take on the PC, finally some competition for the iMac.

The Cons:Has a Blu-ray drive - but not digital outputs for a larger TV or better audio system. Such a large touchscreen is cool, but not functional (especially if you mount it!).

Introduced in the middle of September 2008 and released to the public in mid October, the HP Touchsmart IQ816 is a high end media-centric PC, integrated into large 25.5" high definition, wall-mountable touchscreen monitor.

Wanda Bennett: #hp_touchsmart_iq816 bought the touch screen tv and computer and no technician from the store has been able to make the TV work. Now they say I cannot return it because there is nothing wrong with the computer. The fact is that I spent so much money to have TV and computer and they were suppose to know how to install it and they have not been able to do it after I pay the extra amount for installation. Now I will loose the installation fee I paid plus and extra $300.00 because they have been taking turns in trying to fix the problem. May 2, 09

catdo: #hp_touchsmart_iq816 Technologically, The HP IQ816 has eveythin except the HDMI output which is now a standard for video and audio output. I hope HP will correct this default for the next version. Nov 1, 08
