A 23-inch HD LCD monitor is included, complete with LED backlighting for maximized brightness and clarity. Entertainment and communications needs are covered via a built-in webcam, microphone and stereo speaker set, further contributing to the Elite's standalone nature. The Windows 7 operating system Professional edition is pre-installed on all units, and is upgradeable to Ultimate and Home Premium versions in both 32 and 64-bit formats. Intel's Q67 Express chipset comes stock, with all models offering DDR3 SDRAM memory expandable up to 8 gigabytes. The Integrated Intel HD Graphics card helps to provide top-quality video and image rendering, while a Slim Tray SuperMulti DVD drive is included with additional Blu-Ray support available. Furthermore, a side-mounted 6-in-1 card reader provides quick connectivity of a wide variety of device storage, and general power expenditure is managed carefully through the on-board Power Assistant application. The Elite has been certified by Energy Star, and qualifies for EPEAT Silver in terms of ecological impact.
